The story chronicles the lives of Chitra, a struggling writer who dreams of making it big, and Sudeep, a highly successful tech startup founder who feels emotionally disconnected from his fast-paced life.
The two strangers meet by absolute chance at a pizzeria/café in the historic city of Banaras (Varanasi) on 10th October 2010. Sensing a unique human attachment that transcends conventional labels like "love" or "friendship", they make an unusual pact: they will not stay in touch regularly or exchange phone calls. Instead, they promise to meet only once a year on exactly 10th October.
